Minority Owned Translation Business Hits Seven Year Milestone (July 12th, 2005)
Windsor, CANADA July 12, 2005 — WTB Language Group, Inc., a minority, female-owned business, celebrates seven years of providing clients with professional and reliable technical translating and typesetting services. Since opening its doors on June 8, 1998, WTB has experienced double-digit growth each year; its revenue grew by 37 percent in 2004 alone, serving a global market and establishing effective operating processes that utilize technology to the fullest.
WTB searches and recruits the most competent and reliable translators from around the world, negotiates prices within a client’s budget, manages project logistics among clients, staff and translators, and strives for maximum efficiency and optimal use of resources.
“At WTB Language Group, we have built our business one successful project at a time,” said Huiping Iler, president and founder of WTB. “Our goal is to provide clients with high-quality translations that are completed on time and within budget.”
A native of China, she first came to Canada in 1994 on a scholarship offered by the University of Windsor. After completing her M.A. in Communications Studies at age 24, she opened up her own business from home with a meager $3000.
The translation firm (originally known as the Windsor Translation Bureau) began as a one person operation that has since grown to include three full-time employees. The business serves customers from Denmark to Nova Scotia.
