Boucher draws selectors’ ire for backing Kallis (August 16th, 2007)

Now Cricket South Africa (CSA) is not happy with wicketkeeper Mark Boucher for coming out in support of his fellow teammate and business partner, Kallis. Boucher had criticized the selectors’ decision in a newspaper article. CSA has called him for a disciplinary hearing with regards to his criticism of the team selection.
Kallis himself was very upset about being left out of the T20 World Cup team and had resigned as the team’s vice captain. In a column in Business Daily, Boucher had suggested that there were ulterior motives for removing Kallis from the team. Boucher further added that Kallis is the best all-rounder in the team and he is a much better player than he is actually given credit for.
