e-ISOTIS Participation at the EADTU's 20th Anniversary Conference in Lisbon. (November 01st, 2007)

The non-profit organization e-ISOTIS (Information Society Open to Impairments), will participate in the EADTU's 20th Anniversary conference (www.eadtu.nl/conference-2007) organised under the Portuguese EU Presidency 2007 which is focusing on the internationalisation of university courses on-line and related services.



The non-profit organization e-ISOTIS (Information Society Open to Impairments), will participate in the EADTU's 20th Anniversary conference (www.eadtu.nl/conference-2007) organised under the Portuguese EU Presidency 2007 which is focusing on the internationalisation of university courses on-line and related services.

The Conference will take place at 8 - 9 November in Lisbon (Portugal) where more than 200 scientists and professionals in e-learning area are expected to attend. In EADTU's conference e-ISOTIS and ATOS Origin will present the European project: “EU4ALL” (www.eu4all-project.eu) that involves a program supporting the Lifelong Learning paradigm in higher education institutions focusing on people with disabilities and the elderly.
In the conference, trends and best practices will be exchanged, in particular with a view on pedagogical, technological and organisational issues as well as on institutional strategies. Attention will be paid to off campus target groups, which are not reached by the mainstream of European university education.
During EADTU's 20th Anniversary conference e-ISOTIS will organize as a dissemination leader, the 1st dissemination workshop inside the Centro Cultural de Belém, building where the EADTU's Conference takes place, under the Session "Development and Delivery of online courses" on Thursday 8 November 2007 from . 16:00 to 18:00..
All stakeholders in the area of e-Learning Community are invited to attend the workshop. People with disabilities and elderly, training service and content providers, system developers (s/w), research institutes, educational institutes, media, academics, scientists, assistive technology developers and providers as well as practitioners who work in the field of e-Learning, Lifelong Learning and Design for All for people with disabilities, are invited to advance the exchange of information and developments and allowing the sharing of distinctive experience, expertise, concerns, views and ideas in the area of e-learning for people with disabilities and elderly.

e-ISOTIS is a non-profit making organisation founded in January 2004, that works for People with Disabilities, their families as well as key players of the ICT (Information Communication Technology) and training/research community from the whole globe. Currently, its network of disabled and elderly individuals as end-users, associations of disabled and elderly, ICT industry players, training/research institutions and universities expands not only through the whole Europe but also in Australia, China, US as well as in many other non-European countries.
