A Hip-Hop Clothing Company With A Heart of Gold - Press Release - (March 22nd, 2007) HAMILTON, NEW JERSEY, March 17, 2007 - Mike Kuper, Founder and CEO of Scandiliz Clothing, has announced today that he will be donating a portion of the proceeds from every sale of Scandiliz Clothing merchandise through their website to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Mike Kuper, a New Jersey-based hip hop artist, has taken the first step to what he hopes reinstates the values that this country was built on.
"I want to help the individuals who grow up not having a choice, the kids who are growing up with dreams and aspirations, but are not given a chance to succeed because of life-threatening medical conditions. This world is about having a chance to succeed at your dreams, and that is a wish they should be granted.”- Mike Kuper
Pat Conte, publicist of the 21-year-old fashion designer and Hip-Hop artist, has spent months side by side with Scandiliz Clothing, contacting celebrities, and musicians in hopes of getting their involvement in the Make-A-Wish campaign. Several dozen phone calls were returned by agents and managers with requests for money and expenses.
"Here we are, trying to raise awareness for a great cause, that could grant the wishes of millions of children, and we have the wealthiest individuals asking for compensation, what‘s wrong with that situation?”- Mike Kuper
Launched in the summer of 2006 by 21 year old student and graphic designer Mike Kuper, Scandiliz Clothing is a fresh new take on creating a movement that not only expresses freedom of speech, but also helps raise social-awareness on today’s society.
"We have to make an effort to reach out, and help those who are less fortunate. By standing on the sidelines, we are not accomplishing anything " - Mike Kuper
