BALLARAT, VIC AUSTRALIA (May 1, 2007) : UNDERWARE DESIGN, a independent online software developer focusing on game development tools, announced the beginning of their second competition, titled "Ballistic Blasters",
Underware Design is proud to announce that our second video game programming competition, titled "Ballistic Blasters" has been launched on May 1st, 2007. The competition requires participants design and program a shoot-em-up video game using the PlayBasic software. A video game development tool for Windows computers.
While the competition focuses upon creating video games, in the shoot-em-up genre. Game designers must embrace one of two available themes, either Liquids or Explosions. How the theme is interpreted is left to the creatively of game designer. Some designers many use the theme as the games setting, characters, weaponry or any combination there of.
Judges will be rating games across four primary categories. Covering Playability, Graphics, Sound and technical achievements. The contest is running from May 1st, to July 21st. A comprehensive overview of submission guidelines is located at www.ballisticblasters.underwaredesign.com.
